Backpack Giveaway

The Backpack Giveaway is a back to school event hosted in partnership with Mayor Kevin McCarty to support students and families. Held each year at the beginning of August at Northgate Park, the event provides free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, food, and more. Since 2023, the giveaway has helped hundreds of students each year, and in 2025 we provided over 1,800 backpacks filled with supplies to help kids start the school year prepared and confident.
